* An important part of your IT investment is the support from your supplier when you need service, upgrades or repairs. Memory Bank Computers carries FULL manufacturer warranties for its products, including Lenovo, Lexmark and IBM.

As the end user, you are responsible for registering your your purchase on the Manufacturers database or Website. Full details are provided with your product or at the point of purchase.

Q. What is a warranty?
* A warranty is a statement to customers that machines being sold are (at the point of sale) free from defects in materials as well as in workmanship, and that should any specified component of the machine fail over the stated period, it will be either replaced or repaired in accordance with the defined warranty.

Q. What exactly does my warranty cover?
* NOTE: warranty does not cover the repair or exchange of a machine resulting from any of the following; misuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, improper maintenance by you.

Q. How do I get Warranty Service?
* Your system documentation will include the Manufacturers support telephone contact or website where your request for Warranty Service has to be logged. Once this is approved, the manufacturer will contact and authorise us to udertake the warranty part replacement, once we have received the replacement part from the Manufacturer.

Q. Can I extend my warranty?
* Some products do carry the option of an extended warranty period for an additional cost.

Q. Carry-in warranty?
* The customer has to bring the unit to the point of sale for the warranty repairs; this is defined as a 'carry-in warranty'.

Q. What is an International Warranty?
* Certain products carry a warranty outside of the country of purchase. Please contact us for further details.

Q. Does my warranty cover damage caused by power surges, brownouts or blackouts?
* No.

Q. What about if I lose my data?
* Memory Bank Computers is in no way responsible for any data loss incurred by you the user of the machine. You should always backup your data from time to time to ensure that in the event of a hardware failure, your data will be protected.
